Historical Photographs

Discover Mill Valley's rich history. View the collection of historical photographs with illuminating captions, compiled by Alan Nayer before his own site shut down. Our current historical photograph exhibit is on display on the lower level of the library and also online.  The online collection also has our past exhibits available to browse. The History Room has made 200 vintage photographs accessible on the Online Archive of California website. It is a sample of our ever-growing collection of digitized photographs, maps, oral histories, and other historical materials. Copies of many historical photographs are available for sale provided they are for personal, non-commercial use. Order forms with prices are available in the History Room.
