Description of the Program
After school classes in Mill Valley date back to the early 1970's when state and county budget cuts discontinued many of the elective programs originally provided to students during the school day. Health forms are no longer needed for the Enrichment Programs.
As a successful outcome of the 1995 partnership among the Mill Valley School District, parents and the Park and Recreation Department, the Mill Valley's Enrichment Program continues to provide a well-rounded recreational and educational after school program for elementary and middle school students.
The students of Mill Valley benefit from the partnerships, collaborations and exchanges established within this program. Courses are a reflection of the talents and interests of the community. We applaud our teachers for their generosity of spirit through the sharing of their expertise in these extended learning classes.
Courses are open to all public, private and home school students. Courses are offered on six school campus sites for students K-8th grade.
The Enrichment Program office is located at the Mill Valley Community Center. Enrichment Program course listings are distributed through the MVPR Activity Guide and are available at each school site. If you haven't received your course listing please stop by the Community Center or call (415) 383-1370 to request one.
