Alberta Brown Buller
Wild Rose Photography
Hello, I’m Alberta Brown Buller. I have been passionate about photography since my pre-teen days. My late brother, an incredible photographer who passed away April 3rd of this year, taught me early on about composition, how to use light, exposure, film speed and how to develop in a dark room. Now of course, we have digital darkrooms and a variety of different papers to print on. I don’t use Photoshop but what I do like to do is blend a single image, taken at different exposures, into one image which then gives a painterly look. I also like to experiment with different types of paper: metallic and pearl are favorites.
My brother traveled the world and inspired me to do so as well. The Bay Area has wonderful sights and I will include them in my show as well as images taken in different countries. My loving, supportive husband is a commercial diver. I’m always inspired spending time with him near the ocean. That is a perfect day for us.
Although, I’ve never been to Alberta, Canada, I’ve named my photography business: “Wild Rose Photography” after the province's slogan, which is “Wild Rose Country.” I hope you enjoy my work. Cheers, Alberta
