In an effort to deter theft and aid in property recovery and criminal prosecution, please consider registering your security cameras with the police department. Complete the form and return it to the police department.

Solicitor’s Permit

If you’re soliciting in Mill Valley, you’re required to apply for a Solicitor’s Permit. Please follow the instructions, complete the form and return it to the police department.

Special Event Permit

If you are planning an event in Mill Valley, you may require a Special Events Permit. Please complete the form and return it to the police department, a minimum of 30 days prior to the event.

No contractual or agency relationship is created between the requestor of this program and the City of Mill Valley through this program. The Mill Valley Police Department is not liable for any burglary, vandalism, or other damage or incident that occurs at the home of the requestor during the dates of this request, and the requestor of this program hereby waives any and all liability by the Mill Valley Police Department and the City of Mill Valley which occur through this program. The Mill Valley Police Department may opt to stop providing this service at any time without notice to the homeowner, including during the dates of your request, for any reason including but not limited to: Staff shortages or city-wide emergencies which make the service impractical. The requestor of this program affirms that they are the owner or person in charge of the property in this request and gives consent to the Mill Valley Police Department and authorized City employees or volunteers to enter on the premises at any time during the timeline of this request.

Report Request

If you were involved in an incident and would like to request a copy of a report or incident, please complete the form and return it to the police department. Please Note- Requested reports can only be mailed to the address listed in the report, otherwise they may be picked up in-person. ***Pursuant to Gov Code 7922.535, our agency will respond within 10- days of your request.
