The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), one of FDR's most successful New Deal programs, served on Mount Tam between 1933 to 1941. During those years the CCC shaped the Mount Tam parks that we know and enjoy today. Marin Water's Mount Tamalpais Watershed, Mount Tamalpais State Park and Muir Woods National Monument all benefited from this group's service. Join us to learn more about the CCC, their work on the Mountain, and the program's lasting legacy.
This event is a collaboration with the Mill Valley Historical Society.
The event will be held on Zoom.
