Please join us in congratulating Michelle Terrell for becoming Mill Valley’s Community Engagement Coordinator.
The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for assisting residents, schools, faith-based organizations, and businesses to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. The Coordinator also assists first responders with community education efforts regarding emergency planning, evacuation, and creating defensible spaces.
Michelle will collaborate with schools on emergency preparedness, serving as an on-call resource to school leaders and school-based emergency preparedness commissions and disaster councils. She also will partner with local organizations on resilience planning to help them plan and quickly adapt in the face of a variety of emergencies to maintain operations and to ensure staff safety.
Michelle served on the City of Mill Valley's Emergency Preparedness Commission for over five years and has volunteered with several different disaster councils in the county. She was recently appointed by the Marin County Supervisors to be the At-Large Representative to the Marin County Disaster Council.
We are excited to have Michelle onboard as an integral part of our emergency preparedness team. We know she will do a fantastic job serving the community of Mill Valley and beyond.
Welcome Michelle—we are thrilled to have you on the team!
