Upcoming Sycamore Avenue and East Blithedale Avenue Paving
Argonaut Constructors plan to begin their paving work on Sycamore Avenue and East Blithedale Avenue within the next several weeks. It is anticipated Sycamore Avenue will take a week to grind and pave the roadway. East Blithedale Avenue is anticipated to take 2 weeks to grind and pave.
Paving projects require five days of dry weather prior to paving, so the specific dates for this project are weather dependent and still to be determined.
The paving limits for Sycamore Avenue will be from East Blithedale Avenue to La Goma Street. Sycamore Avenue will be paved in two sections each section will require roadway closure. There will be local access only. The paving limits for East Blithedale Avenue will be from Sunnyside Avenue to Amitica Avenue. Flagged one-way traffic control will be in effect. It is highly encourage that motorist utilize Miller Avenue to avoid delays. All work progress is weather-dependent.
East Blithedale Avenue Open to Through Traffic
East Blithedale Avenue is open to through traffic between Camino Alto and Downtown Mill Valley. Motorists may experience localized closures or flagged one-way traffic control until June 2023. Please use Miller Avenue to access Downtown Mill Valley.
We recommend motorists follow the posted speed limits and proceed with caution as East Blithedale Avenue remains an active work zone.

What Is Happening This Upcoming Week: March 6th
- East Blithedale Rehabilitation Phase 3 - Grove Street to Elm Avenue (west): Argonaut will complete concrete flatwork at Elm Avenue near Park School and the southeast corner of Catalpa Avenue. Argonaut Constructors will continue lowering utilities in advance of the upcoming paving on both Sycamore Avenue and East Blithedale Avenue.
- PG&E Project – Elm Avenue (east) to Elm Avenue (west): PG&E will continue lowering residential gas services. Their work is necessary for Argonaut Constructors to rebuild the roadway structure without obstructions from those services.
Please note that parking will not be available during the daytime construction, but residents may park on East Blithedale Avenue during evening hours. Please read the posted “No Parking” signs for hours of construction.
