Councilmember Caroline Joachim was elected to the City Council in April 2023. She
is a real estate attorney who moved to Mill Valley with her husband, Paul, to raise their two children. Born and raised in California, Caroline went to high school in Central California, attended Wellesley College and holds a law degree from the University of San Francisco. Caroline has been on the Board of Mill Valley Little League for 10 years and served as President for 4 of those years. She also held a Board position with the Marin County Bar Association.
Additionally, Caroline has volunteered at the Bay Area Discovery Museum, the Storybook Ball (which raised funds for Mill Valley Library Foundation), Kiddo!, Old Mill Elementary School, and Old Mill School PTA, where she also served as President. She currently volunteers with Marin Villages and St. Vincent de Paul, and recently received certification from CERT - Community Emergency Response Team.
